http://www.paleotimes.org/newsletter/apr00news.htmPaleoTimes.org April 2000 NewsletterGreetings Brethren and Sisters, Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread are only a few days away. It is interesting how things have changed in just one year and then to think of the difference between today when Yahshua walked this earth. It is important that each and everyone of us is a light to the world. That we are able to be in the world and yet separate from the world's morals and and ill-conceived ideas of righteousness. In Matthew 5 we find the Be-attitudes. Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see Yahweh. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of Yahweh. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. (Matthew 5:3-12 AV) No matter what lot in life we are given we can still be blessed and happy. The goal of our lives must be to serve Yahweh because He loves us. It is Yahweh's love and mercy that keeps us alive although without Yahshua's sacrifice we would not have the chance to strive for eternal life. Yahshua opened the kingdom to everyone that is a doer of the law no matter if they are white or black, Hebrew or Gentile. In today's world there are very few true blooded Israelites but as Paul put it all of us can be Israel. Blood is still important nevertheless following Yahweh is even more important. Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of Yahweh, and the promises; (Romans 9:4 AV) It is essential brethren that we open our minds and heart to learning. We must let the holy spirit work in our lives. I pray brethren that as we walk through the next year together that we are able to work together. Striving together as a family of Yahweh's people is a beautiful thought that the kingdom may not be too far off. The first feast of the new biblical year is almost here so we must each prepare ourselves for this feast. This is also a call to all my brethren and sisters to help in the fight by helping the assembly of Yahweh to grow and prosper. ... If Yahweh be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31 AV) Hereby perceive we the love of Yahweh, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1 John 3:16 AV) Perhaps this year our preparation for the Passover might also be our dedication to serve Yahweh and our brethren. May Yahweh Bless You, Your Brother James Meyer Edification for the AssemblyIf you would like to submit a literary composition that edifies the assembly please submit it to James Meyer. Please make sure that you label any submission and that you note that it is a submission for the newsletter. HeHe created me perfectly And cares for me gently He watches over me as I grow up Because He loves me so. He blesses my whole day And teaches me His way He reminds me to pray And gives grace day by day. He has only a wish He wanted me to do To be good and live by faith And seek His path 'til my death. He punishes me when I disobey He leads me when I am misled He lifts me up when I stumble And gives me chance once more. How good He is! How sinful I am! Why is it so hard for me To do what He wants? When I know by heart and mind All good things He has done. He sent His Son to set me free He never fails, He never forgets me He never told me 'til He showed What He really means... I am loved. By Sister Claribel G. Garcia Abib New Moon - April 5th 2000Western MissouriGreetings to each of you. I hope you are doing well on this first day of the Biblical New Year. Brandt, Kristi, Sean, Taylor, Lauren and myself seen the New Moon last night. (April 5th) It was first seen around 7:53 P.M. last night. We had a nice meal and fellowship. I hope you all have a meaningful Passover and Feast of Unleavened Bread. Sincerely, Lee Larned Little Rock, ARWe went about 12 miles from here so we could have a clear view of the western sky. Oh how beautiful that slim sliver of moon was. We have never been able to view it for so long of a time. Finally after about half an hour we left and it was still up a bit and it was getting dark. We sat there oohing and ahhing over the beauty of it. The Biermans St. Thomas, US Virgin IslandsShalom Brethren, I would like to inform you that a new moon was seen here in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands by me and my family (Mike & Monique) as well as the following brethren: Sis. Cathrine Joseph, Evelyn Phillip, Debbie Henry, Faye Nata, and Bros. Roy Romain and Mervin Hazel. As you are aware, this moon sets the time for Abib, New Biblical Year, and Feast Days. May Hashem be with you, Nehemia Gordon HealingsI just want to thank everyone who prayed for my Brother and Sister in Law for their medical problems. She is out of the hospital from her blood sugar count being so high and underwent knee surgery and she is home and doing well. She is walking with a cane. My brother has a couple more radiation treatments but is handling it well. We will continue to pray for a healing in his case. they will not know if the radiation worked for at least 6 mos.
