Paleo Times August 2002 Newsletter

Greetings Brethren,

I pray that this newsletter finds all well with you and your family. This month we spend most of the newsletter ironing out a few questions from brethren about the Passover. This may not be the timeliest issue as we prepare for the feasts of the seventh month but it is imperative to understand. Probably the most common question about the timing of the Passover is how do you without doubt know that the Passover lamb was sacrificed at the end of the 14th of Abib and how do you prove it to others? Many of the approaches to proving this stem out of explaining when the lamb was sacrificed which I have done in previous studies. In this study I would like to present a more direct approach.

First let's lay out the three steps to prove without doubt when the lamb was to be killed. One, the lamb was to be killed at a specific time. Two, Yahshua is the Passover lamb. Three, Yahshua died at a specific time. The apostles of Yahshua made clear that we are to be taught by the actions of Yahshua the Messiah. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John provide four witnesses that show Yahshua's actions and word through out his life glorified Yahweh. Scripture of course is the sharp blade that divides sin from unrighteousness.

Lamb Killed at a Specific Time

Exodus 12:6 and ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at even.

Deuteronomy 16:6 but at the place which Yahweh thy Elohim shall choose, to cause his name to dwell in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

Yahshua the Passover Lamb

Isaiah 53:7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.

John 1:29 On the morrow he seeth Yahshua coming unto him, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of Elohim, that taketh away the sin of the world!

John 1:36 and he looked upon Yahshua as he walked, and saith, Behold, the Lamb of Elohim!

I Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, even as ye are unleavened. For our passover also hath been sacrificed, even Messiah:

I Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a lamb without spot, even the blood of Messiah:

Revelation 5:6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim, sent forth into all the earth.

Revelation 5:12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb that hath been slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and might and honor, and glory, and blessing.

Died at a Specific Time

Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Yahshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is, My Elohim, my Elohim, why hast thou forsaken me? 47 And some of them stood there, when they heard it, said, This man calleth Elijah. 48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a sponge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. 49 And the rest said, Let be; let us see whether Elijah cometh to save him. 50 And Yahshua cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up his spirit.

Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Yahshua cried with a loud voice, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My Elohim, my Elohim, why hast thou forsaken me? 35 And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elijah. 36 And one ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let be; let us see whether Elijah cometh to take him down. 37 And Yahshua uttered a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.

Luke 23:44 And it was now about the sixth hour, and a darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45 the sun's light failing: and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. 46 And Yahshua, crying with a loud voice, said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said this, he gave up the spirit.

The ninth hour is by all accounts 3-3:30 after noon. Yahshua is the perfect lamb, the Passover lamb that died at the same time that the lambs were being sacrificed in the temple. The time was 3-3:30 PM on the 14th of Abib. Yahshua the Messiah is the lamb of Yahweh!

One of the first questions many brethren ask then is what are the supper and the emblems that Yahshua had with the disciples? The answer is that it is the Passover. The Rabbis as Yahshua was called many times by the disciples had a custom to train the men, elders, just as Moses did in Exodus 12:21. This gave the elders the ability to verify every year that they were going to properly partake of the lamb and explain the meaning to the family. The disciples being Jews themselves had done this many times in the past but this night was different. The lamb was no longer going to be sacrificed (at least not by the followers of Yahshua) but the ritual was still to be carried out. Yahshua gave the disciples and us today the emblems so that we may partake of the perfect lamb, Yahshua the Messiah.

Truly the truth is established in two or three witnesses and the truth is beautiful. This truth is a hard one for many to accept but it is so plain that to deny it would seem impossible. Think of the perfect picture that this creates and the confusion that this puts an end. We must spend our time getting out the word that 2000 years ago lived a man who changed the world forever. The change was from the covering of sins to the forgiveness of sins. Yahshua the Messiah is the lamb of Yahweh!

Yahweh Bless,

James A. Meyer

Passover 101: Questions Answered

After publishing the Passover 101 article brethren brought up some valid questions that I would like to discuss here. This is meant to help bring some clarity to the discussion of Passover.

Question

What is meant by "they left in the night"?

Answer

The question by some is that since no one was to leave their dwelling during the night how is it possible to leave on the night of the 15th of Abib? It is argued that Deuteronomy 16:1 clearly states that they left by night.

Deuteronomy 16:1 Observe the month of Abib, and keep the passover unto Yahweh thy Elohim: for in the month of Abib Yahweh thy Elohim brought thee forth out of Egypt by night.

The answer is that they didn't leave at night but were freed at night. The scriptures teach that the death angel passed through Egypt killing all the first born of Egypt but by Yahweh's mercy the Israelites were spared because they had put a blood marking on their dwellings. When Moses writes here that Yahweh brought Israel forth he is actually speaking of their release from Pharaoh's rule. Clarification of this is found in Exodus 12:42.

Exodus 12:42 It is a night to be much observed unto Yahweh for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of Yahweh to be observed of all the children of Israel in their generations.

In context with verse 43 of Exodus 12 this is the night of when the sacrifice lamb, the paschal lamb is eaten in haste. Notice in verse 41 of Exodus 12 that this day is the selfsame day that Israel entered into bondage 430 years beforehand. Notice the use of "selfsame day" through out Exodus 12.

Exodus 12:51 "And it came to pass the selfsame day, that Yahweh did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies."

The selfsame day here is of course what the previous verses were talking about, the night when the Passover lamb is eaten. The night to be much observed is the night when Israel ate the lamb and when Israel was released. The 15th is when Israel left Egypt according to Numbers 33:3.

Numbers 33:1 These are the journeys of the children of Israel, which went forth out of the land of Egypt with their armies under the hand of Moses and Aaron. 2 And Moses wrote their goings out according to their journeys by the commandment of Yahweh: and these are their journeys according to their goings out. 3 And they departed from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month; on the morrow after the passover the children of Israel went out with an high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians. 4 For the Egyptians buried all their firstborn, which Yahweh had smitten among them: upon their deities also Yahweh executed judgments. 5 And the children of Israel removed from Rameses, and pitched in Succoth.

Numbers 33 gives evidence that Israel left while Egypt was burying their dead on the fifteenth. They left with a high hand or in plain sight of the Egyptians. It wasn't until the next leg of the journey that Yahweh provided a pillar of fire by night for Israel to travel. (Exodus 13:21)

One final note is that the Chaldee paraphrases Deuteronomy 16:1b, "brought thee forth out of Egypt by night," as "Because they came out of Egypt by daylight." Yahweh brought Israel out by night; they were set free from Pharaoh's rule so that they might be able to go into the wilderness to serve Yahweh.

Question

Why do the scriptures say that the service is to be kept on the fourteenth?

Answer

"In the fourteenth day of this month, at even (between the evenings), ye shall keep it in his appointed season: according to all the rites of it, and according to all the ceremonies thereof, shall ye keep it." (Numbers 9:3)

The question is usually followed by the statement, "it all has to be done on the fourteenth." The fact that this verse gives a time is often left out of the discussion but it is of course an important inspired part of the verse. This time mentioned gives the time when the lamb is to be sacrificed. (Exodus 12:6, Deuteronomy 16:6) The appointed season or appointed time of Passover starts with the killing of the lamb and progresses to the eating of the lamb and unleavened bread. It is impossible to fit all of this into the time between the evenings whether it is an hour and a half or three and a half hours. One explanation is that the appointed season is referring to the starting point of the Passover observance. Another explanation is that this verse is simply pointing to the ordinance (rites and ceremonies) of how the lamb is to be sacrificed between the evenings on the fourteenth of Abib. (Ex. 12:6, 7, 21, 22)

Question

When were the Egyptians spoiled and when did they lend to the Israelites?

Answer

The Egyptians may have given the Israelites a lot of items to help them leave hastily as pointed out in the following verses.

Exodus 12:33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. 34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. 35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: 36 And Yahweh gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians.

How does this verse fit in context with all that was going on? In verse 2-3 of Exodus 11 we find that borrowing from the Egyptians was the first thing that Yahweh had the people of Israel do before the final plague.

Exodus 11:2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver, and jewels of gold. 3 And Yahweh gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh's servants, and in the sight of the people.

The Egyptians allowed the Israelites to borrow from them because Yahweh intervened for Israel and Moses was held in high esteem by the Egyptians. In perspective with this being the first thing that Yahweh requested of the people before the finally plague it is easier to understand why the Egyptians would lend great things to the Israelites.

Question

Did Moses and Aaron go before Pharaoh the night Israel was released?

Answer

Originally I thought this might have been possible but with further research there are some significant scriptures that need to be taken into consideration.

Exodus 10:28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die. 29 And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

Pharaoh and Moses both agree here that they will not see each other again. Yet as we read Exodus 12:29-33 Pharaoh called for Moses.

Exodus 12:29 And it came to pass, that at midnight Yahweh smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve Yahweh, as ye have said. 32 Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. 33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men.

As we have seen in movies and as it sounds in the KJV and many other translations that Moses and Aaron went before Pharaoh one last time. The Hebrew word for "called" is "kawraw" which means to bewray [self], that are bidden, call (for, forth, self, upon), cry (unto), (be) famous, guest, invite, mention, (give) name, preach, (make) proclaim(-ation), pronounce, publish, read, renowned, say. Notice in Bollinger's notes for Exodus 12:31, "called for" i.e. "sent a message to".

"Ver. 31. And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, &c.] Not that Pharaoh went in person, but he sent his servants to call them; for they never saw his face more after he had drove them from his presence; but now was fulfilled what Moses told him, that his servants should come to him in a very suppliant manner, and entreat him and his people to get away in all haste, #Ex 10:28,29 11:8. Where Moses and Aaron now were is not certain, probably in the city, or suburbs of it, where Pharaoh's palace was, for it is not likely that they were gone to Goshen:" (John Gill's Expositor)

The scriptures verify that Moses and Aaron did not break Yahweh's command to not leave their dwellings during the night. "And the children of Israel went away, and did as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they." (Exodus 12:28)

On What Night was the
Passover Sacrifice Eaten?

YAHshua said that the Scripture can not be broken!

John 10 (34) YAHshua answered them, Is it not written in your law [torah], I said, Ye are elohim [Psa. 82:6]? (35) If HE called them elohim, unto whom the word of YAHWEH came, and THE SCRIPTURE CANNOT BE BROKEN; (36) Say ye of Him, Whom the FATHER hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of YAHWEH?

YAHshua said that He did not come to destroy the Torah (Torah, or the teaching of the Torah by Moses) or (the teaching of) the Prophets, but that He came to fulfill it.

Mat. 5 (17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law [Torah, or the teaching of the Torah by Moses], or [the teaching of] the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil [to fulfill that which they teach concerning Him].

YAHshua came to fulfill that which was taught concerning Himself in the Torah. This included the laws of sacrifices and ceremonies which were only part of the "Law" (Torah) that YAHWEH gave through Moses. This especially included the Passover sacrifice. (He also came to fulfill those same things as they were taught by the Prophets and in the Writings in the Tanakh i.e. the Old Testament).

We must compare the New Testament accounts of the timing of the Passover to the timing according to the Torah to see if YAHshua truly fulfilled or if He broke the Torah. We can find that record as to when YAHshua died in three of the four separate accounts of the Gospel. (Three witnesses establish a very very good witness indeed!).

Mat. 27 (45) Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour. (46) And about the ninth hour YAHshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My Elohim, My Elohim, why hast THOU forsaken Me?

Mark 15 (33) And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. (34) And at the ninth hour YAHshua cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? Which is, being interpreted, My EL, My EL, why hast THOU forsaken Me?

Luke 23 (44) And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. (45) And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. (46) And when YAHshua had cried with a loud voice, He said, FATHER, into THY hands I commend My spirit, and having said thus, He gave up the spirit.

All serious Bible researchers will readily admit that the ninth hour in the first century was approximately three o'clock in the middle of the afternoon. It has already been more than adequately established at the mouth of three witnesses as to when YAHshua actually died. Therefore, how can the middle of the afternoon death of the Messiah on the 14th day of the 1st month fulfill the requirements of the Torah if the first and all subsequent Passover sacrifices were made between sunset on the 13th day of the 1st month and dark at the beginning of the 14th day of the 1st month as many contend? Surely the witness of those three witnesses is true. Therefore, some must have a flaw in their understanding and/or translating of the Hebrew word 'ereb, which has been translated as even, evening, night, eventide, sunset dusk and dark etc.

Just for a moment, let us forget the given meaning of 'ereb and trace the root word back from which it came.

(Strongs) H6153. 'ereb, eh'-reb; from H6150; dusk:-

H6150 'arab, aw-rab'; a prim. root [rather identical with H6148 through the idea of covering with a texture]; to grow dusky at sundown:-

Just what is this texture that does the covering? It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that answer out. Here is the KEY: When the sun passes a certain point in the sky, the covering texture (shadow) from the mountains, hills, and vegetation, continues to cover more and more of the landscape as the sun continues to decline in the west. When the sun finally sets, the covering texture (shadow) completely covers the land to start a new Biblical day!

When all knowledge has been revealed, we will find out that the English word "afternoon" is equally as adequate as "evening" to be a reasonably accurate translation for the vague term "ereb." (Just as the full moon becomes full in its cycle, so does the "afternoon" or "evening" becomes full when it gets eventide, sunset, dusk, and finally dark.) Obviously, afternoon begins after "noon."

(A.H.D.) noon (n›n) n. Abbr. n., N. 1.a. Twelve o'clock in the daytime; midday. B. The time or point in the sun's path at which the sun is on the local meridian. Also called noontide, noontime. 2. The highest point; the zenith.

Below, meaning B for the word "noon" is inserted in the KEY statement after the phrase "When the sun passes a certain point."

KEY: When the sun passes a certain point (i.e. B. The time or point in the sun's path at which the sun is on the local meridian.) in the sky, the covering texture (shadow) from the mountains, hills, and vegetation, continues to cover more and more of the landscape as the sun continues to decline in the west. When the sun finally sets, the covering texture (shadow) completely covers the land to start a new Biblical day!

All the above, including the 9th hour death of the Messiah, is in perfect harmony concerning the Passover Sacrifice as commanded in the Torah.

Deu. 16 (5) Thou mayest not sacrifice the Passover within any of thy gates, which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee: (6) But at the place which YAHWEH thy Elohim shall choose to place HIS name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the Passover at even [afternoon or evening], at the going down of the sun, at the season [appointed time] that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

The above scripture itself makes it clear what is meant by "at even" ('ereb). It says "at the going down of the sun." Therefore, shortly after noon on the 14th day of the 1st month, the covering texture (shadow) continued to cover more and more of the landscape as the sun continues to decline in the west until the covering texture (shadow) completely covered the land. When the sun finally set, the 15th day of the 1st month arrived.

All the above is also in line with Exo. 12:6 and Lev. 23:5. In the Interlinear Bible by J. P. Green SR, both verses translate 996/6153 as "between the evenings."

Exo. 12 (6) And it shall be for you to keep until the fourteenth day of this month: and all the assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it between the evenings.

Lev. 23 (5) In the first month, on the fourteenth of the first month between the evenings is the Passover to Jehovah.

In Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament by H.W.F. Gesenius, we find two different opinions as to when the time (between the two evenings) for the Passover sacrifice is. (It must be noted here that the Passover lamb was always offered before the evening animal sacrifices were to begin.)

"According to the opinion of the Karaites and Samaritans, the time [for the Passover sacrifice was] between sunset and deep twilight. The Pharisees, however, and the Rabbinists considered the time when the sun began to descend [noon] to be called the first evening (little evening; when it begins to draw towards evening) and the second evening to be the real sunset." (See 6153)

Only the timing of latter coincides with the timing of YAHshua's death and the regular temple services that were conducted during that period. YAHshua did indeed die between the beginning of "little evening" when the minor oblations were offered and the end of the second evening when major evening sacrifices were offered. He actually died at the ending of the "little evening" when the minor oblations were offered and the beginning of the second evening when major evening sacrifices were offered. He died between the evenings as well as in the evening on the 14th day of the 1st month, as the covering texture (shadow) continued to cover more and more of the landscape as the sun continued to decline in the west until the covering texture (shadow) completely covered the land. When the sun finally set, the 15th day of the 1st month arrived at which time the Passover sacrifice/Meal was eaten on the "Night much to be Observed"!

Exo. 12 (6) And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening [The Hebrew text reads "between the evenings"]. ... (8) And they shall eat the flesh in that night [the beginning of the 15th day of the 1st month], roast with fire, and unleavened bread [Because the Days of Unleavened Bread were part of the Passover Festival, the sacrificial meal was eaten with unleavened bread.]; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. ... (11) And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is YAHWEH'S Passover.... (14) And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a *feast [chag:H2282; a festival] to YAHWEH throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a *feast [chagag:H2287; a Pilgrimage (i.e. to where YAHWEH places HIS name) festival] by an ordinance for ever.

*A "festival" almost always includes a "feast" plus all the time present while preparing, eating the feast and participating in all the activities until the "festival," including the "feast" is over and the participants return home.

The Passover Festival was to be continued for seven days in accordance with the instruction given in verses 12:15-20. The Festival started with the preparations, including the Passover sacrifice, at the going down of the sun [and/or "between the evenings"] on the 14th day of the first month and eating it that night with unleavened bread at the beginning of the 15th day of the first month (The first day of Unleavened Bread).

Deu. 16 (I) Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover unto YAHWEH thy Elohim: for in the month of Abib YAHWEH thy Elohim brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. (2) Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the Passover unto YAHWEH thy Elohim, of the flock and the herd, in the place which YAHWEH shall choose to place HIS name there. (3) Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it [the sacrifice]; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith [Therewith! The seven days of Unleavened Bread are part of the "festival."], even the bread of affliction: for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. (4) And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. (5) Thou mayest not sacrifice the Passover within any of thy gates, which YAHWEH thy Elohim giveth thee: (6) But at the place which YAHWEH thy Elohim shall choose to place HIS name in [Here is where the pilgrimage is required.], there thou shalt sacrifice the Passover at even, at the going down of the sun [and/or "between the evenings"], at the season [appointed time] that thou camest forth out of Egypt.

Ezek. 45 (21) In the first month, in the fourteenth day of the month, ye shall have the Passover, a feast [chag:H2282; a "festival," not just a "feast."] of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.

Conclusion: The FESTIVAL called the "Feast of the Passover" and the "Feast of Unleavened Bread" is properly called "YAHWEH'S PASSOVER."

According to the Torah, the next time after the first "chag" (H2282; a festival) the Israelites were required to travel to where YAHWEH placed HIS name to keep YAHWEH'S Passover Chagag (H2287 a Pilgrimage Festival). As the first one, the festival began "between the evenings," i.e. the middle of the afternoon on the 14th day of the 1st month. It began with the sacrificing of the Passover lamb and the preparing for the feast that was to be eaten that night at the beginning of the first annual Sabbath during YAHWEH'S week long Passover Festival. That night was called "The Night Much to be Observed."

Just as the Passover Lamb died in the middle of the afternoon of the 14th day of the 1st month, so did YAHshua, the Lamb of YAHWEH! He was our Passover! (Even Paul knew that Passover was a "Festival." He tied the unleavened bread with it too.)

I Cor. 5 (7) Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Messiah our Passover is sacrificed for us: (8) Therefore let us keep the feast [heortazo:G1858 Festival], not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Psalms Chapter 116

1 I love Yahweh, because he heareth My voice and my supplications.

2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, Therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

3 The cords of death compassed me, And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

4 Then called I upon the name of Yahweh: O Yahweh, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is Yahweh, and righteous; Yea, our Elohim is merciful.

6 Yahweh preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For Yahweh hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, Mine eyes from tears, And my feet from falling.

9 I will walk before Yahweh In the land of the living.

10 I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 What shall I render unto Yahweh For all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of Yahweh.

14 I will pay my vows unto Yahweh, Yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of Yahweh Is the death of his saints.

16 O Yahweh, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of Yahweh.

18 I will pay my vows unto Yahweh, Yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 In the courts of Yahweh's house, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Yahweh.
