Thursday, July 11, 2002 Shalom Brethren, Thank you beloved brethren in Messiah for the many new moon reports shared with those of like faith. Every new moon is an encouragement to all of us in the faith striving to follow Yahweh through Yahshua the Messiah. Here in Missouri the cloud cover blocked most of the state from seeing the new moon. When the children and I were waiting for the new moon to appear the clouds seemed to be moving northward which we hoped would open up a view of the new moon in the north western sky. Unfortunately the break was short lived and rain clouds rolled into our area. The rain is a blessing to the local farmers who needed help saving the parched crops. In a previous letter I wrote of Brother Matt Nesser and the extreme trial that he is experiencing with a brain tumor. A few of us had a blessed opportunity to spend time with brother Matt today in which a couple elders from Yahweh's Assembly in Messiah and a few of Matt's brethren laid hands on him asking for healing of Matt's infirmity. The doctor let Matt know today that he has lymphoma which is one of the worst cancers a person can have because of the low cure rate. Tonight was Matt's first meeting with the doctor since his diagnosis. The doctor said that there is good chance that three chemotherapy treatments should be enough to make the tumor removable through operation. This is probably the best news from a secular source that Matt has received in a long time. Matt is far from being through this trial but he is in excellent spirit and has wisely used this trial as a tool to witness to his family. Please keep Brother Matt in your prayers. Yahweh Bless, James A. Meyer Harrisonville, MissouriHi all. I seen the New moon this night at 8:54 PM in Harrisonville, Missouri. Sunset was at 8:46 PM in my area.
