Shabbat, November 13, 2004

Greetings brethren,

The ninth new moon was sighted at sunset in Beiter which is near Jerusalem, Israel.  More sightings are expected to follow and will be added as they are received.

The ninth new moon marks the beginning of the count for Chanukah which starts the 25th of the ninth month.  Paleo Times has two interesting readings for Chanukah.

Good news also that Sister Kathy Sandavol is doing well now.  Castillo wrote, "Kathy called yesterday afternoon and she said the angiogram went fine. The area of her heart that showed a shadow was fine. The 2 stints are fine also. The doctors are changing her meds. She will not need surgery!!! Yahweh is good and heard all of our prayers! Thank you to everyone who prayed for her and also Javier and Austin."

Yahweh bless,

James A. Meyer

Silver Run, Maryland

Greetings From Silver Run, Maryland (about 40 miles NW of Baltimore). My wife Dianne and I saw the New Moon at 5:10 EST tonight. Due to our latitude, this new moon was very low on the horizon and very faint, almost lost in atmospheric haze. It was as thin a sliver as I have ever seen.
