Greetings brethren,

Please look for the new moon tomorrow night, September 15th at sunset.  The possibility of seeing the seventh new moon will be marginal in northern areas of the US.  I estimate only marginal visibility because the new moon as seen in the sky over Kansas City, Missouri is only 7 degrees above the horizon at sunset.  There are only 46 minutes of time between when the sunsets and when the moon sets.  A positive aspect of this new moon is that there are almost 34 hours between the conjunction and sunset.  The 33 hours and 57 minutes adds to the distance between the sun and the moon meaning greater illumination than if it were a younger moon.  This will be a difficult new moon in northern areas of the US but I expect with clear skies in the southwestern US that brethren will see the new moon.  Your report is critical for the keeping of Yom Teruah so please be as descriptive as possible when sending your new moon report to New Moon.  You can also call in your reports at 573-298-4115.  Reports will be available on the Paleo Times website, http://www.paleotimes.org, soon after they are received.

Distant Suns - As seen from Kansas City, Missouri.

Visibility increases the farther southwest you are located.  Here is a chart for some other locations in the southwest.

LocationAge: Conjunction to SunsetDegrees above the Horizon
Houston, Texas33 hours 57 minutes9 degrees 43 minutes
Dallas, Texas34 hours 4 minutes9 degrees 11 minutes
Albuquerque, NM34 hours 44 minutes8 degrees 36 minutes
Phoenix, Arizona35 hours 5 minutes9 degrees 41 minutes
Los Angels, CA35 hours 30 minutes9 degrees 27 minutes

Vis.Curve
MoonCalc 6.0 - solid areas are estimated to be easily visible; the less solid the pattern the less visibility is estimated.  MoonCalc 6.0 seems to be based on age from conjunction to sunset which is not extremely helpful for this new moon.

Feast of Tabernacles

It is almost time for the appointed times of the seventh month.  Please consider spending the Feast of Tabernacles (FOT) with us at Yahweh's Assembly in Messiah (YAIM) in Rocheport, Missouri.  If you are unable to make it here please consider one of the other Feast of Tabernacles sites.  There are Feast of Tabernacles sites around the world.  As any brother or sister who has ever observed the Feast of Tabernacles can attest to; once you have been involved in the feast you will never want to miss it again.  It is a blessing!

Prayer Requests

Ginger

I'm writing to ask that you put my friend Ginger on your prayer list. She was diagnosed with breast cancer 4 years ago and after radiation treatment was fine. About a month ago she started having pain again, and when she had her MRI done they found that it had metastasized into her bones. She's been given 2-4 years to live. There is no treatment now. And I hope you will put this in your next newsletter:

Ladies - Please get those mammograms! Even if you are under 40, there's no reason not to begin self-examination NOW! Its a good habit to get into, and it may save your life! This planet has become so polluted there's no telling what we're exposed to, whether we want it or not.

Gentlemen - watch out for those prostates - there are simple blood tests available now that can determine if you are at risk!

Thanks Jim! halleluYah! Kellie

Please keep the following brethren in your daily prayer: Landis Deck, Sandy Bodinger; Don Alfredo - needs help overcoming many vices in his life.; Tracie Kramer - suffers with migraine headaches that are excruciating.; Ginger - fighting cancer, only given two to four years to live.; Courtney Higgins; Michael Greene - overcoming prostate cancer with Yahweh's help.; Bobby Joe Tate - he has recently been diagnosed with lung cancer. He went from being a big diary farmer to having a death sentence hung around his neck. Having to sell off his cattle, farm equipment, his horses and his past time pleasure, his mules and wagon for trail riding due to this. His wife is not dealing with this at all, or his sons. And I can even imagine what might be going through his mind. He and his family needs all the prayers they can get. They were told his cancer is of the fast acting kind and his time here will be short. He goes to the doctor today to see if it has spread and if so where. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.; Reema Sharma; Grant Bierman - needs healing for eye sight.; Rosalie Erive Marafino; Telugu Sacred Name Bible Project - brother Tony Suckla and others are working on a Scriptures for the people of India.; Paul Mandel - protection and healing during kidney stone surgery.; Janice Marie Coffey; Dean Gay - needs help overcoming drug addiction.; Susan Gay - healing and searching for a loving husband.; Keith Nester - help finding a job.; Janet Herold - healing from cancer.; Karol and Ned Barnett - help and healing.; Linda Yardley - place to live and healing.; Cherie Denis - fighting cancer.; Reema Sharma; Kingsley Ndubuisi Okereke - open door for business exploits.; Linda Lopez - help with chemical dependency.; Al Kluxdal - Sherry, Al's wife is praying that Al's heart is softened toward Yahweh.; Jo Allen - needs healing for diabetes and lupus.; Chris Allen - seeking employment; Al and Marie Dupus; Calvin Allen - needs healing for prostate cancer.; Howard Maxwell; Lucille Cornwell; Jermaine Cromwell - sickness possibly related to liver problems.; Michael Smith - looking for Yahweh's help towards freedom. prayer requests
