Greetings brethren,

Shabbat shalom!  The new moon which marks the beginning of the second month was seen in a few locations.  Here in western Missouri the new moon was not visible due to heavy cloud cover.  Two locations in Canada and one location in Dominica report seeing the new moon.  More reports will be added as they become available.

The new moon was spotted tonight at 8:52 pm.

Brantford, Ontario, Canada

Successful sighting.  Clear sky.

Roseau, Dominica

Along with the beginning of the weekly Sabbath here in Dominica, sun having set moments ago, is also the beginning of the Bible 2nd month Zif being the new moon became visible this Friday (Sabbath) evening 28th April 2006 which I saw at 6:52pm (-4 GMT/UTC). Truly, a partially overcast sky almost hindered me from having sighted it.
