Thursday December 21, 2006 Shalom Brethren, Reports of the tenth new moon are gradually coming in from various parts of the US and overseas. The new moon this far has been seen in Dominica, Arkansas, and Texas. The new moon was not visible here in Virginia due to heavy cloud cover. We have had nice showers all day which is not conducive to seeing the new moon but is a blessing on the land. Please keep in your prayers brethren in the northwest that have been hit with heavy winter weather: snow and ice. I pray that you have a blessed tenth month. Yahweh bless,

From Rising Star, Clyde, and Cisco, Texas, members of the Carney, Maynard, Mesecher and York families (10 all together) saw the new moon tonight, beginning at 5:50. Faint, slender, and far to the south, but easily seen with the naked eye. It's still up now at 6:11.

It's a joy that inspite of illness which has not allowed me of being at work from since the 6th of this month that I have been able this once more to witness the sun setting at 5:40pm and 15 minutes later at 5:55pm this Thursday evening 21st December 2006 to have sighted the new moon beginning the Bible tenth month Tebeth. The 1st day of this Bible tenth month Tebeth is this week Friday 22nd December 2006. The lunar 29th day of this Bible tenth month Tebeth will therefore be 19th January 2007 when we are to begin our search for the new moon beginning the Bible 11th month Sebat at sunset. I must say that seeing the new moon gave me a wonderful feeling. All praises to Father YAHWEH. Jerusalem, IsraelTenth Biblical Month On Thursday December 21, 2006 observers across Israel looked for the moon but it was not sighted. All those reporting in so far reported heavy cloud coverage. However, visibility would not have been certain even under ideal weather conditions. Unless further observers report in that the moon was sighted from Israel (unlikely at this point but possible) we will observe New Moon day on Friday night Dec 22, 2006. Nehemia Gordon
