Greetings brethren,

This next new moon is the 12th of the Scriptural year indicating that Passover will not be far away, about 83 days.  This new moon marks the beginning of the count to Purim.  February 13th will be the day of Purim.  The new moon should be relatively easy to see with the naked eye in many parts of the globe on January 30 at sunset if weather permits.  In the US the new moon will be visible between 30-35 hours after the conjunction indicating that the crescent will be relatively well illuminated.
