Greetings brethren,

The eleventh new moon of Scriptural year was seen easily in many locations on Sunday evening.  The new moon was not seen in Central Missouri due to cloud cover.

Please keep the Dupus family in your prayers.  Marie Dupus passed away on December 31.  Sister Marie Dupus was a great women and had great support from her husband, Elder Al, and her son, John Dupus, and his family.  She will be greatly missed.  The Dupus family can be reached at: John and Adriana Dupus, 3209 S. Linwood, Sand Springs, OK 74063 or shaul67@aol.com.

On another front, please keep the brethren in Oklahoma and Texas in your prayers.  The fires are threatening brethren's lives and the lives of their families.

Yahweh bless,

James A. Meyer

Jerusalem, Israel

On Sunday January 1, 2006 observers looked for the moon from Israel but it was not sighted due to heavy cloud coverage. With 3.35% illumination and 86 minutes lagtime the moon would have been easily visible had there not been clouds. Therefore, it may be considered New Moon day based on the principle of "potential visibility". For more information on this concept please see:

The sky was clear from the Southern Cape in South-Africa, and I could see a beautiful sliver of new moon on Sunday eve at just after sunset.

Arkansas

Two saw the new Moon of the 10th Scriptural Month on 1-1-06 at between 5:13 and 6:20. It was also seen at Rudy AR by two at 5:13, and 2 at Witcherville, AR by two at 6 PM

Mandeville, Louisiana

We spotted the First Sliver at approx. 17:30 in Mandeville La. on the Northern shores of Lake Pontchtrain in the west south west direction. It was about 2:00 o'clock from the visible horizon.

Union Mills, Maryland

There were clouds in the west at sunset tonight, January 1, 2006, but they cleared enough that the New Moon was bright and clear. This observation was at Union Mills, MD at 5:35 EST.

Harrisonville, Missouri

Hi,
I seen the New Moon this evening. Sunset for my area was at 5:07 PM Central Standard time. I seen the New moon at 5:15 PM. My location was at Harrisonville, Missouri. You all have a nice New Moon day.

NO sighting of the new moon on December 31, 2005 but I must say the sunset was breath taking. Only Yahweh can paint such a beautiful picture across the sky. If no sightings tonight, will check it out again tomorrow. All the best to you and yours and we are praying for everyone on the prayer list.

Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Still too cloudy in Murfreesboro TN for new moon observance.  Hope the brethren elsewhere have more success.  Love in YAHSHUA MESSIAH, Tom Browand
