Thursday March 30, 2006 Greetings brethren, The new moon that marks the beginning of the year was sighted in many locations throughout the globe. Have a blessed new year enjoying Yahweh's first feast of the year, Passover. Yahweh has provided the signs that mark the beginning of the year, Abib and the new moon. The following is the calendar for the first part of this year. AbibMarch 30 Passover Sacrificed Pesach - Abib 14 - April 13 Wave Sheaf OfferingYom Omer - Abib 16 - April 15 Feast of Unleavened BreadChag Matzah - Abib 15-21 - April 14-20 Feast of WeeksChag Shavuot - Yom Omer 50 - June 3 Enjoy Yahweh's set apart feasts brethren. Yahweh willing we will be together for this feast. My family and I plan on spending this feast in Rocheport, Missouri. Consider joining us and many other brethren for the feast. Call or email so the details can be forwarded to you. There are many online articles concerning the early feasts that help the believer understand the significance of the observance of these feasts. Passover allows us to memorialize the sacrifice of Messiah Yahshua. It brings us closer to the Father by encouraging us to walk as Messiah Yahshua. These articles continue by explaining the importance of Yahshua's ascension before the Feast of Weeks. The path of Messiah Yahshua is clearly focused on Father Yahweh. We need the focus that is found through the observance of Yahweh's feasts and through the emulation of the works of Messiah, which helps us attain that focus for eternal life. March 30 ReportsAbib Report from JerusalemAviv has been found in Israel! We found fields of Aviv barley from all three types of barley that grow in Israel: 2-row wild barley, 2-row domesticated barley, and 6-row domesticated barley. Some of the locations we found aviv include: Marj a-Naja and Argaman (both in the Jordan Valley), Peduyim and Kisufim (in the Northern Negev), and Mordechai Junction (on the coastal plain). We found both volunteer barley and planted fields, in more than sufficient quantities for the harvest to begin in two week's time during the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The searches were carried out on Tuesday March 28, 2006 (Jordan Valley) and Thursday March 30, 2006 (Northern Negev and Coastal Plain). The following people participated in the searches: Nehemia Gordon, Devorah Gordon, Ferenc Illesy, Avi Ben Mordechai, Dina Marcus, Tim and Deb Arndt, and Clint Place. Venus, TexasGreetings, Jim and family, My wife and four of our children sighted the New Moon crescent confirming the scriptural New Year at 7:00 CST this evening here in the Venus, Texas area. Earlier today, we received the glad news that the New Moon had been seen over Yisra'el, signifying the New Year. Thus, the local sighting confirmed in our hearts that Abba YHWH is once again inviting His people to His Festivals. HalleluYah!
