Shalom Brethren,

Psalm 81 3Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. 4For it is a statute for Yisra’el, an ordinance of the Elohim of Yahakob.

The new moon was visible in Israel earlier today.  Here in Fredericksburg, Virginia it was hazy making the sighting difficult.  Veronica was the first to see the new moon at 8:45 PM EDT.  Veronica pointed it out to the rest of us and she is only 7 years old.  I praise Yahweh for giving us such a blessing and the joy of such a young heart that desires to serve Yahweh.  Pictures of the new moon can be enlarged below by clicking on the images.

A brother reported yesterday that he was able to see the new moon in New Mexico with magnification.  He reported that the sky was clear but the illumination was not great enough to see it without magnification.  This kind of confirms that September's new moon is really unlikely to be seen on September 12.  This will likely make the Feast of Trumpets from September 13 sunset to September 14 sunset.  We will have to wait and see; it is in Yahweh's hands to give us the sign for the Moed.

New moon reports will continue to be posted as they are submitted. New Moon Report.  Have a blessed month.

Emergency Prayer Request

Prayer request for Jim Ingle, Elder at Congregation of YHWH in Eldon, Mo. Jim was rushed to the hospital a week or so ago with a ruptured aneurism. He underwent surgery which resulted in removal of his large intestine. Here is the current update and request for prayer from Elder Watson in Milton, FL. Dear Fellow Prayer Warriors, This morning Bonnie told me that the leg is not good and they have told her it needs to come off (at least below the knee). They still believe the kidneys are just "asleep" but there was movement on the right side of his body and all the tests they have done indicate no stroke. They have put the trachea in so he can breathe better. Jim is still in induced sleep but does respond when they speak to him. Yahweh bless you all, In Yahshua, DW

Yahweh bless,
James A. Meyer

Yay! We saw the moon. It looked like the shiny curve of a cloud standing straight up and down. We saw it about 8:45? HJ

Jamestown, Kentucky

The New moon was seen here in Jamestown, KY AUG 14/07 CDST @ 8:19 by 2 people.

It was very hard to see as there was a big black cloud in the area plus just below it was a heavy red haze. It was in the red haze that we spotted it. The moon was about due west very close to the horizon too.

Yah Bless!!!

We saw the new moon. I guess there were about 15 of us. Very clear and easy to see. It hasn't rained here in ages, so we might have forgotten what clouds look like.

Hope all is doing well with you.

Dear Jim,
Just letting you know we looked with binoculars last evening for the new moon from about 8:40 to 9 p.m. and did not see it. We had pretty good visibility -- slight haze low on the horizon.

Sunset here was 8:20 p.m.
We plan to look again tonight.

Blessings,

West-central New Mexico

Shalom from west-central New Mexico.
We were unable to spot the new moon of the 6th month by unaided eye tonight (Monday, August 13th).

I was able to see it via 10 X 50 binoculars at 08:10 PM MDT, which is about 10 min after sunset, but, of course, that doesn't count. It was 2 deg 43 arc minutes above the horizon.

It should be obvious tomorrow.
