Thursday October 11, 2007 Shalom Brethren,
I pray that you had an
blessed Feast of Tabernacles and seventh month. The seventh month will end
within the next day by the sighting of the eighth new moon. This new
moon is especially important for many brethren who mark the beginning of the
year by the first new moon after the equinox. Your diligence in looking
for this new moon is enjoyed by all brethren.
October 12th at sunset is
expected to be the first possible sighting of the new moon here in the US.
Clicking on the images below will enlarge them. The second image is the
visibility graph for October 12. As with last month, the graph indicates that the
new moon visibility is best in the southern hemisphere. If conditions are
perfect, the new moon will be visible throughout most of the US but low on the horizon.
Florida and the southwestern most parts of the US have the greatest chance to
seeing the new moon easily.
Australia, Africa, and South
America have easy visibility on October 12 if weather permits. Israel is not expected to have visibility until October 13. Consider
sharing your pictures of this new moon by attaching them to a response to this
email. Please submit your reports online at New
Moon Report.
