Wednesday January 9, 2008

Shalom Brethren,

Blow the Shofar!  Visibility of the eleventh new moon here in northeastern Virginia was great for this time of the year.  We had showers in the morning and clearing skies as the day progressed.  At 4:45PM we started watching the sunset which was a beautiful red and orange glow.  At 5:30PM we first saw the new moon about 15 minutes after the sun had set below the horizon.  Attached are the pictures from the sighting.  New moon reports will continue to be added as they are available.  Report Your Sighting

Please keep Rebecca Tate in your prayers.  Berry Rose wrote, "My Cousin Rebecca Tate was hit by a man who ran a stop light. She is in Wake Forest University Hospital in serious condition. Thanks for all your prayers."

I pray that you have a blessed new month.

Yahweh bless,

January 9, 2008 New Moon Reports

Jerusalem, Israel

On Wednesday January 9, 2008 observers across Israel looked for the new moon but it was not sighted. There was heavy cloud coverage. The moon had 1.38% illumination and 56 minutes lagtime which puts it within the potential visibility range based on previous sightings from Israel.

Happy New Moon!

New moon evening greetings to each and all!

I have this Wednesday evening 9th January 2008 seen the new moon of the Bible 11th month Sebat (Shebat) at 6:26pm, as much as 35 minutes after sunset, all due to scattered clouds which hindered what would have been an earlier sighting.

While to some that a new year has already begun, what was January 1st new year's day last week Tuesday in the eyes of those who don't know better, was on the Bible calendar the lunar 21st day of the Bible 10th month Tebeth. How great it is indeed to know the Bible correct way of things as Yahweh meant it for us way back from Genesis 1:14.

HalleluYah!

After avoiding and getting through December's falseness, it sure was nice to see the truth of the new moon. 5:36 EST. Strong cold winds cleared the sky for the show. Warm greetings, David Shields

I had a call from Carolyn Carney of the Cisco, TX Assembly. she reported that 17 brethren there saw the new moon at approx. 6:05 PM without magnification. She asked me to report for them. Thanks, Frank Brown
