Saturday March 8, 2008 Shalom Brethren,
Blow the shofar; the thirteenth new moon was
visible from many locations around the globe. Here in Fredericksburg,
Virginia the new moon was easily seen at about 6:25 this evening which was
only 15 minutes after the sun set. There were four adults and two children
that saw the new moon with the naked eye here. Thank you brethren for your
new moon reports. New moon reports will continue to be added as they are
available.

Abib
There is no controversy this year over the stage
of the barley in Jerusalem, Israel. Most barley was reported to be in the flower or worm stage
which are both rather early stages of development. There were a number of Abib searchers that all reported the same results. This means that the
next new moon, approximately April 6th, will definitely be the Abib new moon.
Praise Yahweh for the lack of controversy and the safe trip of the Abib
searchers!
Yahweh bless, James A. Meyer
Jerusalem, Israel
On Saturday March 8, 2008 observers across Israel
looked for the New Moon but it was not sighted due to heavy cloud coverage. Had
there been no clouds the moon would have been visible and according to potential
visibility March 9 is New Moon Day.
Rosh Chodesh Sameach!
Happy New Moon!
